About New Castle Asphalt

In 2011, John K. Rifenburg and Roderick Valente broke ground for what is now one of the largest asphalt plants in the Capital Region. New Castle Asphalt has been in operation since June of 2012. Centrally stationed in the Port of Rensselaer; New Castle Asphalt is able to conveniently serve the surrounding areas. Currently, we are outfitted with a state of the art Gencor Ultra 400 drum plant allowing us to produce upwards of 400 tons per hour. We also have four silos onsite; each capable of holding 300 tons. With this kind of storage it is no problem supplying a variety of mixes at once to fit the needs of our clients.

With a permanent on-site lab, New Castle Asphalt is able to design, create, and test for DOT state approved projects, along with federal and private mixes.

The environment is something that is important to New Castle. That is why we use recycled asphalt pavement in our mix designs. With a separate yard for RAP, our screen plants will break down existing blacktop, and screen it into fines to be reused.

We also take pride in being able to provide high quality mixes, fast load times, and exceptional customer service. Our staff is experienced and knowledgeable with a combined 20+ years in the industry. We are available to answer any questions you may have. Please feel free to reach us at the contact information below at any time.
